IOS device: Go to App Store > Type Spaceroam in Search Bar > Download Spaceroam apps

Android device: Go to Play Store > Type Spareroam in Search Bar > Download Spaceroam apps

Please check that your mobile is eSIM compatible and factory unlocked. Stable internet connection is also required for installation and activation.

  1. Go to Settings > Mobile Service > Add eSIM > Use QR Code > Enter Details Manually
  2. Key in the SM-DP+Address and Activation Code
  3. Tap ‘Add Data Plan’.
  4. Data Plan Labels > you may rename your eSIM (eg. Spaceroam) > tab Continue
  5. Default Line > Select your carrier as default line > tab Continue
  6. iMessage & FaceTime > Select your local carrier for iMessage & FaceTime > tab Continue
  7. Mobile Data > Select ‘Spaceroam’ > tab Done

* Do not select ‘Allow Mobile Data Switching’ as iPhone might start using your local carrier for Mobile Data and incurred roaming charges overseas.

  1. Go to Settings > Connection/Network & Internet > SIM Manager
  2. Tab Add eSIM > tap Scan QR code > Retrieve downloaded QR code from your mobile photo Gallery > Scan the QR code
  3. Choose the eSIM from SIMs
  4. Turn on ‘Use Sim’ and select ‘Yes’.
  5. Turn on ‘Mobile data’.
  6. Turn on ‘Roaming’ then select ‘OK’.
  7. If your eSIM connects to an incorrect network, tap ‘SIMs’ then tap ‘Automatically select network’ in the next page to select the correct network manually.

Your device must be unlocked and the iOS version must be updated to 14.1 or newer. You can check with your carrier to see if there is anything you can do to unlock the eSIM in your device.

eSIM on the iPhone is not offered on the mainland of China. For example, iPhones XS, XS Max, and XR sold in China, Macau, and Hong Kong are not eSIM compatible (dual SIM phones with two physical SIM slots).

Notice: Your device must be unlocked. You can check with your carrier to see if there is anything you can do to unlock the eSIM in your device. 

The eSIM data package expiration date depends on the eSIM validity or data consumption. Your eSIM data package will last for the indicated validity period, as long as there is available data.

The validity period starts when the installed eSIM connects to the supported network at the destination. Depending on the eSIM, it can also activate at the time of installation, regardless of your location.

The eSIM data can only be used within the validity period, which means the remaining unused data cannot be used after the validity period.

It is for one-time use only.

No limitation on number of eSIM being added to mobile phone. However, the number of eSIM you can add may vary depending on phone model and carrier support.

Telephony services like SMS and voice calls cannot be used with data-only eSIM, but you can use internet-based calls and messages.

No chargeable (top up). One time use only.

There are many reasons why your eSIM QR code doesn’t work.

  • Are you connected to Wi-Fi? Wi-Fi connection is required for scanning QR code.
  • Have you already scanned your eSIM QR code?

Yes, SpaceRoam offers several multi-country eSIM to be used when you are traveling to a number of different countries on one single trip. Each time you enter a new country, your eSIM will automatically connect to the network in that country.
